When you have both your domain and hosting with PCextreme your website is secured by a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate. In this article we will tell you more about this.

Introduction

This SSL certificate is distributed automatically. There are no additional actions required of you. If you’re unsure if your domain uses SSL you can test it by visiting your own website. Make sure to manually type https:// in front of the domain name. If no error occurs, you can rest assured knowing that your website is secured.

Troubleshooting

If there is an error something might have gone wrong requesting your free certificate. Please contact our servicedesk.

Your website might not be ready to connect over a secure https connection. In most cases, this is due to something called Mixed Content. This means that certain parts of your website (usually images and other media) are not fetched through an https connection.

Force https

You might want to check if your urls are automatically being redirect through an https connection. You can read more about this in this article. Tip: Make sure that your nameservers are not being redirect externally. This way we cannot enable free SSL.
