Setting up a mail account at PCextreme with Outlook 2016

If you have a mail plan at PCX you can add your mailbox to a client like Outlook. To use a PCextreme mail address with Outlook 2016 you can use the this guide.



Outlook 2016 is not the latest version of Outlook. We recommend you upgrade your version to the newest. If you wish to use 2016 instead the application might not work optimally.


To set up your e-mail address you have to meet the following requirements:

  • A PCextreme mail account
  • A Windows PC or laptop
  • Office 2016

Add account

  1. Start up Outlook;
  2. Go to File;
  3. Click Add Account;
  4. Select Manual Setup and press Next;
  5. Select the option POP or IMAP and then Next;
  6. Fill in your user data as shown below:

  • Name: First name and surname 
  • E-mail address: 
  • Account type: IMAP 
  • Incoming mail server 
  • Outgoing mailserver: 
  • Username: 
  • Password: email-address-password

Advanced setup

  1. Click on More Settings and select the option Outgoing mailserver;
  2. Tick the box Outgoing mailserver requires verification and select Use the same settings as incoming mail
  3. Press OK;
  4. Click Next and if everything is in order click OK to finish.
